Sailor transceiver also features an RS232 serial interface for PC connection and NMEA input, as well as RJ11 for an additional analogue phone or a standard PABX system, allowing any attached phone on board to make or receive calls.

Certificates

The SAILOR Iridium SSAS system has received approval certificates from all major classification societies. These include Det Norske veritas (DNV), Lloyds Register, Germanischer Lloyd (GL), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Chinese Classification Society (CCS), and US Coast Guard. Further acceptance certificates has been issued by selected flag states. The process of receiving approvals and acceptances is ongoing.
